Swedish massage course

27-28-29-30-31 January 2025

You want to become skilled at a complete hour- long massage (to one hour and a half) and become most efficient at reducing physical and psychological tensions?

This course gives you the opportunity to learn Swedish massage techniques, as massage therapists trained in the Axelson Institute in Stockholm use them. By following the precise instructions of our trainers, you learn how to massage in the framework of a system that has been recognised for its efficiency in muscle relaxation.

Swedish massage follows a particular protocol (effleurage- gliding strokes with the palms, pétrissage- kneading movements, friction- rub-down, circular pressure, shaking, stretching and tapping) that has the aim of gradually heating the skin and its different muscular layers, to facilitate a deeply pleasant and painless massage. The direction of the massage always follows the direction of the blood circulation (towards the heart) and every movement massages the muscle from a maximum of angles.

This massage is given directly on the skin with the help of pleasant plant-based massage oil. During the course you will always work in pairs, in order for everyone to get a chance to learn how to massage, as well as receiving the learnt massage movements.

In addition, a full hour Swedish massage is included in the price of the course, which you are invited to receive prior to the beginning of the course. In this way you can get a feeling for the massage before practising it.
